The NACCC is a national charity supporting around 300 Child Contact Centres in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Child Contact Centres are meeting places where children of separated families can enjoy contact with one (or both) parents, and sometimes other family members, in a safe, comfortable and neutral environment where parents do not have to meet. Referrals to Child Contact Centres come from a variety of sources including Solicitors, CAFCASS Officers, Social Services, Citizens Advice Bureaux, Family Mediation and Relate.
NACCC, based in Nottingham, have been members of the NCVO since 1999 and joined the Telephone Scheme in April 2002.
Managing a national charity and responding to the needs of members, referral bodies and parents is very demanding. The need for efficient, professional and speedy communication is at the forefront of providing an excellent service.
Mark Walton, the NACCC Finance Manager explains: “We decided to go with Class and the NCVO scheme in Spring 2002. Class’s experience in dealing with voluntary organisations and the affinity with NCVO gave us the confidence we needed to move from our old telecommunications supplier.
The transfer of all our calls to Class was straightforward. We were also able to move our lines over as well. Again, this was a painless process and meant we could make further savings. We also have our home workers included in the scheme which means all their business calls are clearly itemised and easy to identify on our monthly bill.
Class also provide 0845 numbers for our incoming voice and fax lines. This means callers have the benefit of paying just the local rate, and we have the flexibility to re-point these calls to any of our landlines if we wish.
Finding ways to save money is important to us, but so is having a single supplier to manage all our telecom needs and provide technical support and advice when we need it. This means we can concentrate on servicing our customers without too many unwelcome distractions.
Our relationship with Class works extremely well. As a result we have now transferred our Broadband to them from BT with monthly rental savings of 37%. The transfer was once again seamless. We have also moved our mobile phones to the scheme, again with worthwhile savings.”
I would certainly recommend Class to all organisations who are looking for savings and a better service.”
