1. MAC

   MAC code is a code like a serial number that identifies a broadband connection in a telephone exchange.

2. MPLS

   MPLS is a widely supported method of speeding up data communication over combined IP/ATM networks. This improves the speed of packet processing and enhances performance of the network.

3. MSAN

   A multiservice access node (MSAN) is a device typically installed in a telephone exchange (although sometimes in a roadside serving area interface cabinet) which connects customers' telephone lines to the core network and is able to provide telephony, ISDN, and broadband such as DSL all from a single platform. Prior to the deployment of MSANs, telecom providers typically had a multitude of separate equipment to provide the various types of services to customers. Integrating everything on a single node, which typically backhauls everything over IP or Asynchronous Transfer Mode can be more cost effective and may enable customers to have new service enabled far more quickly.

4. MSIL

   MSIL allows CPs access to 21CN for any-to-any connection of new multimedia services

5. MSISDN

   is a number uniquely identifying a subscription in a GSM or UMTS mobile network. Simply put, it is the telephone number to the SIM card in a mobile/cellular phone.

6. MySQL

   An online database function that allows information to be collated e.g. order contact information only available if the customer is using Linux web space.
