1. SDSL

   A version of DSL where the upload speeds and download speeds are the same - a separate line for voice is required (unless VoIP is used)

   An application-layer control protocol, a Signaling protocol for Internet Telephony. SIP can establish sessions for features such as audio/videoconferencing, interactive gaming, and call forwarding to be deployed over IP networks thus enabling service providers to integrate basic IP telephony services with Web, e-mail, and chat services

   A core Internet protocol used to transfer e-mail messages between servers.

7. SMTP Feed

   Hosting term: This is a way of retrieving email, different to POP3 – it would be equivalent of having a postman bringing your email to your server. You’d use this if you had a dedicated MS Exchange Server at your office. It passes emails directly to your exchange server automatically. This is through an IP address and will indicate they have an exchange server.

8. SQL

   A standard interactive and programming language for getting information from and updating a database.

9. SSL

   An SSL Certificate enables encryption of sensitive information during online transactions. An SSL Certificate contains unique, authenticated information about the certificate owner and is issued by a Certificate Authority that verifies the identity of the certificate owner.

10. STM

    A device connecting multiple channels to a single link by dynamically allocating time slots to the channels based on their transmission activity
